when the birds grew strong enough, the child's father allowed them to fly away ...
the little boy was extremely dejected to see the birds fly away...
but then his father explained," Didnt you love the birds when they were young?? Now its their time to taste their OWN Freedom and we just have to honour it. Love it because they gave us the wonderful memories full of Love..."
The child nodded in order to satisfy his dad but not with satisfaction in his heart ...
but the story didnt end there ..
for their is always a hope..
an innocent hope of a child ...
he searched the skies for days ..
for the birds were only two ..
He had seen them reach for the horizon ..
his heart calling them still ..
And then came a day ... a happy one too ..
it rained that day and breeze sang too ..
a bird came back .. the same one
it sat on the child's arm and sang a note or two ..
now this is just a poem ... and the story isnt true .. but true it will be .. if we all just say it so ... for its HOPE and nothing more that makes miracles true ...
NOTE: those birds meant a lot to me ... for I am the child ... place a few words and true it is you will find ...
P.S. : the story is not at all original .. just wanted everyone to know it ..
Very beautifull poem.. Very very beautifully worded. Yes, HOPE is the only thing that keeps the world and every person moving.. the day we lose hope, we lose everything.... even a flicker of hope can provide great strength to a person. Your post reminded me of Harvey Milk's Hope Speech that has been such an inspiration-
ReplyDelete"you have to give them hope. Hope for a better world, hope for a better tomorrow, hope for a better place to come to if the pressures at home are too great. Hope that all will be all right. Without hope, not only gays, but the blacks, the seniors, the handicapped, the us'es, the us'es will give up... Yo've got to give them hope"
Very neatly written. Loved it.
ReplyDeleteIt's ultimately HOPE that keeps us all going.
